CAPE MAY — Cape May’s 16th annual Spring Festival, co-sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) and the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cape May, will celebrate the season with 10 days of tours and special events from April 29 through May 8.

Triple your taste bud pleasure by combining a Wine Tasting Dinner, Winery Cellar Tour and Wine Tasting Class for a weekend of total indulgence, Fri., April 29 through Sunday, May 1. The four-course dinner features wines themed to the Sunday Wine School Class. Guests will be treated to individual attention from the wine steward. On Sat., April 30 at 3 p.m
Taste the sweet signature desserts of innkeepers during the Chocolate Championship Tour & Tasting, learn about the town that vanished into the sea, South Cape May, step inside Cape May’s private residences, explore local gardens, dance the night away at a Vintage Ball, attend the new Murder at the Physick Estate production in an 1879 mansion.
Spring Festival’s Murder Mystery Dinners and Luncheons – murder is on the menu. Friends, relatives, rich political contributors and even uninvited guests are attending the inaugural celebration for Jacob Thurman, the newly elected Mayor of the seashore town. Will they all chant, “long live the mayor”, or will they let family disagreement, political rivalry, social ambition, or past offenses poison the festive gathering? There is a killer among them and when someone drops dead, suspicion runs wild.
Cape May Stage presents “For Colored Girls Who Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf: A Choreopoem by Ntozake Shange” on Sat., April 30 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 1 at 3 p.m. at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse, located at the corner of Bank & Lafayette streets.
For the 32nd year, The Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cape May will transform Cape May’s Rotary Park into an open-air marketplace for the Spring Flower Festival on Sat., April 30 (rain date May 1). This free outdoor event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and features artisans and crafters displaying and selling accents and accessories for you, your home and your gardens.
