Lower Library Offers Memoirs Workshop

VILLAS – An eight week writing workshop on writing your memoirs is being held at 4:30 p.m. Mondays, beginning January 24th at the Lower Branch Library located at 2600 Bayshore Road, Villas.
The “Memoirs Workshop” will teach you how to turn your seemingly ordinary lives into creative stories. Memoirs should be told in the author’s authentic voice; therefore only basic writing skills are necessary to participate in the workshop. Participants decide the scope of their memoirs and organize memories of relationships and events. Ninety minutes of the class time will be devoted to technique; as much of the writing will be done independently at home. When completed, your written memoir is a special gift to pass on to your loved ones.
The class will be under the direction of Eva Feeley, a freelance writer from Sea Isle City, who enjoys the genres of essays, poetry, short story and memoirs. She is a member of the Jersey Cape Writers who recently published their third anthology entitled “Paths”. Independently, Feeley published her first non-fiction book, “Lister to Me, Young Lady: A Guidebook Through Womanhood”.
