Lower Branch Library Holds Art Classes for Children

VILLAS – The Cape May County Library invites children ages 6 to 10 and their caretakers to enjoy “Art at the Library.” The program, sponsored by Cape May Center for Community Arts, will take place at the Lower Branch Library at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 19 and 26, February 2, 9 and 16, March 9, 16, 23 and 30, April 6, 27 and May 4, 11, 18 and 25.
Activities combine literature and art. Each week a new art medium will be explored to re-create a page from a Caldecott Medal winning book. The Caldecott Medal has been awarded to the artist of the most distinguished children’s picture book since 1938. Parental participation is welcomed.
The Cape May Center for Community Arts is a multi-cultural education organization whose art and humanity programs foster creativity, community building and appreciation for the rich diversity of our world.
