Lower Art Students Work to Be Featured

By Press Release

CAPE MAY— Lower Cape May Regional High School’s advanced art students are again participating in an annual art show at the Mad Batter Restaurant, 19 Jackson St.
Teacher Patricia Neville is delighted that the Mad Batter has invited the students to return. She describes the show as “based on student’s views of traditional still-life paintings incorporating atypical juxtapositions and analogous color themes.
“Having the opportunity to participate in a public show is a wonderful experience for students who will pursue careers in art. Plus it’s a showcase for the talent that we have in our community,” she added.
The opening reception for the show will be held on Sun., Feb. 13 from 3 – 5 p.m. This show is part of the Second Sunday Gallery Walk, a partnership of several of Cape May’s galleries. The show will be open from Feb. 9 until March 9.
The students will also have hand painted T-shirts for sale to benefit the Center of Community Arts youth art program. Participating students include Frankie Gibson, Lilli Loper, Chandler Altieri, Kim Castellucci, Ashley Bresan, JJ Leahy, Dan Rossi, Dylan O’ Donnell, Ally Cook, Carly Crisanti, Maryssa Hill, Miranda Becica, Kalyn Magee.
