COURT HOUSE — LOL 4 ZOO! Cape May County Zoo Society’s funniest annual fundraiser yet. For the first time, the event is a Stand-Up Comedy Night and features comic Sean Donnelly, who has appeared on David Letterman and Comedy Central and from Helium Comedy Club 2013 “Philly’s Phunniest” winner James Hesky plus up-coming comic Jeff McManus.
The Funniest Fundraiser begins with classic Asian finger foods and appetizers followed by Stand-Up Comedy Hour and continues with music and dancing, Chinese auction, door prizes, and a cash bar.
LOL 4 ZOO Jan. 18, 2014, 6 p.m. at the Princeton Bar & Grill in Avalon. Tickets $40 at the door (advance online purchase $35).
The event will raise funds for the Cape May County Zoo the non-profit’s 2014 fundraising campaign to support these initiatives:
• Complete construction on new snow leopard exhibit
• Begin plans and design for new monkey exhibit
• Continue conservation work on Eastern Tiger Salamander, now found almost exclusively in Cape May County, these endangered salamanders are disappearing. To boost their population the zoo and state DEP will work together to collect, raise and repopulate them back to the wild.
