Locals Do Stand-Up Comedy at ‘Bust-A-Gut’

CAPE MAY — Cape May Forum came to a close Mon., Oct. 11 as Cape May Stage presented a night of silly and brave Cape May locals in a night of comedy.
“Bust-a-Gut Laughing” featured local talent including Mayor Edward J. Mahaney Jr., Bill Causey, Vicki Clark, Glenn McBrearty, Victoria Watson and Chris South.
The jokes tended to be on the “blue” side other than the mayor’s, who gave details how the first two television tapings of City Council meeting did not go well. Cape May Stage Creative Director Roy Steinberg compared Mahaney to Bob Newhart.
Chase Jackson gave an account of her love life which brought down the house. Singers Deborah Donohue and J.M. Kerns sang of unemployment while Donohue played the “nose flute,”
