Little Miss Sea Isle City Slated

SEA ISLE CITY — The 2010 Little Miss and Jr. Miss Sea Isle City Pageant will take place on Tues., July 13 at 7 p.m. Contestants will compete in two divisions, ages 5-8 (Little Miss) and 9-12 (Junior Miss). Pre-registration is required for all contestants by July 12.
Due to the increased popularity of this event in recent years, the pageant is moving from its former location at the resort’s Communit Lodge to the Saint Joseph Church Auditorium at 44th and Central avenues.
Also new this year, the pageant’s rehearsal, which traditionally took place the night before, will be held on the day of the event at 9 a.m. for Little Miss contestants and at 10:30 for Jr. Miss contestants.
Participants will answer questions and perform in musical numbers during the pageant. The evening will also feature an appearance by Miss New Jersey, Junior National Teenager 2010 Mackenzie Olson, who will perform dance routine for the audience.
The event will once again be emceed by tourism volunteer Jen Fabrico, and a panel of judges will determine this year’s winners, who will receive glistening tiaras and bouquets of flowers. Spectators will also enjoy free salt water taffy from James’ Candy of Sea Isle City.
