COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County Library invites the public to attend a seasonal art workshop in December. “Winter Decorative Arts: Crafting Snowflakes” will be presented by Betty Tocci on Dec. 1 and Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The program will be held at the Main Library located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
Contemporary decorative painting is a highly teachable art form. It allows a high degree of success without academic training or inherent drawing ability. Participants will be painting a winter snowflake pattern with a snowman scene. The project will include a snowflake and scene pattern, detailed instruction sheet, photos and paint.
Betty Tocci finds painting gives her personal satisfaction in learning and sharing her love for painting with others. Tocci, who helped form the Shore Pines Society of Decorative Artists, has taught at chapter meetings and local seminars for the last 11 years and has studied with many leading decorative artists.
The workshop requires registration and a non-refundable $5 materials fee due at registration. A required materials list can be found on our website. For more information call 463-6350 or visit cmclibrary.org .
