Library Offers Free Computer Classes

COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County Library announces free computer workshops being offered in January and February. Computer classes are available to adult library cardholders in good standing at the Technology Education Center at the Cape May County Library located at 30 Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
Register early to get a spot in the following classes:
●Wednesday, January 5, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – My 1st Computer Class – Computer basics for novices
●Thursday, January 13, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Digital Camera Basics – Basic camera functions
●Wednesday, January 19, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Workplace PC Basics – Essential computing skills and how to maneuver around the Windows environment
●Monday, January 24, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – My 1st Computer Class – Computer basics for novices
●Tuesday, January 25, 1:30 p.m.- 3:30 p.m. – Dynamic Resumes – First of a two part workshop to help you create a great resume
●Wednesday, January 26, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Workplace Web Basics – Learn how to search the Internet using URL’s (web addresses)
●Friday, January 28, 2:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. – Internet Job Resources at Your Library- Job seekers learn about our popular career websites and database
●Monday, January 31, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – My 2nd Computer Class – Learn how the computer gets its information, processes and stores it
●Wednesday, February 2, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Workplace Email Basics – Learn how to set up a Windows Live Hotmail account
●Thursday, February 3, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – My 2nd Computer Class – Learn how the computer gets its information, processes and stores it
●Wednesday, February 9, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Workplace MS Word Basics – Learn elemental MS Word skills with an emphasis on Word’s resume and cover letter template
●Wednesday, February 15 , 1:30 p.m.- 3:30 p.m. – Dynamic Resumes – The second workshop to help you create a great resume
●Wednesday, February 23, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Editing Digital photographs – How to make your digital images better
Workshops are limited to eight individuals; therefore, pre-registration is required. Register by calling 463-6341. Leave your name, telephone number and the name of the workshop you wish to attend. All calls will be returned.
