CAPE MAY — For those who missed the excitement of last year’s Cape May Mermaid Guild King Neptune Bachelor Auction, you’ll get another chance to catch the action and help the cause.
On Sun., Sept. 19, at 5 p.m., there will be a parade of hunks at the Rusty Nail (Beach Drive, Cape May) all strutting their stuff to win the ladies’ affections (and bids).
The bidding wars are on, and few shirts will come off, but it’s all for a good cause- The Community FoodBank of NJ Southern Branch, helping to feed thousands of homeless and hungry families throughout Cape May, Cumberland and Atlantic counties.
“Last year, things got a little out of hand–which was perfect!” says one Mermaid “We were able to raise more than $20,000 for the FoodBank.
We’re hoping for even more bidders this year. It’s the perfect merging of fun and philanthropy.”
