COURT HOUSE – The Jersey Shore Pops ended their successful 2012 Concert Season with a “sold out” crowd at the Middle Township Performing Arts Center. Nov. 17, the PAC was packed to full capacity as they witnessed one of the most exciting shows the new Pops orchestra has presented at the theater. The show was filled with variety and included performances from the guest star, Jacklyn Buckingham, Tenor Frank Hampton, Concert Mistress Susan Elsayed and a rousing performance of Bugler’s Holiday from the horn section led by Clifford Buggs.
This concert ended the third full season of concerts for the new orchestra, which is the resident orchestra for the Middle Township Performing Arts Center. A reception followed the concert at the Avalon Golf Course which was sponsored by Karen and Russ Buckingham of Cape May Court House.
President of the Jersey Shore Pops, Dr. Nick Holland commented, “We were so proud to have so many local residents attend this concert finale to witness history in the making in Middle Township. Several other orchestras including the New Jersey Pops, the South Jersey Pops, and the Ocean City Pops have performed at the performing arts center, but none have ever sold as many tickets as the Jersey Shore Pops. We are so proud of our orchestra and conductor/musical director Linda Gentille for their dedication to this artistic endeavor.”
