Jamison Celtic Rock to Perform at Centennial Park, Aug. 9

By Press Release

WILDWOOD CREST – Jamison Celtic Rock, one of the most popular Irish pop/rock bands of the Delaware Valley, is set to play at Centennial Park this Saturday, Aug. 9.
A newcomer to the Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series, Jamison Celtic Rock has become a favorite of the Irish, the Irish at heart and many more across the region over the past decade. A five-piece band formed out of Northeast Philadelphia, Jamison mixes dynamic reels with rock, modern pop, hip-hop dance beats and more – all while never straying far from their Irish roots. While Jamison drops traditional and more modern Irish favorites into their shows, the band also performs many pop and rock favorites from Pink to Pink Floyd, all with a sound that makes each song seem as if it were crafted in the basement of a Dublin pub.
In addition to rocking pubs, taverns and nightclubs, Jamison has appeared live on Fox Good Day Philadelphia and CBS3 television’s Talk Philly, has headlined many Irish festivals and parades across the region and makes many appearances at the Jersey Shore each summer.
Jamison has had songs featured on Midwest Radio in Ireland, was awarded “Best Band” in 2009 by the Mt. Holly St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee and more recently won “Best Irish Band in America” in the Strangford Lough battle of the bands competition held in Co. Down, Northern Ireland.
Saturday’s event is a free all-ages show. Attendees should bring a blanket or a chair.
Centennial Park is located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue.
The Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series, supported by the Wildwood Crest Tourism Development Commission, consists of live music every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Centennial Park through Aug. 30.
Other upcoming entertainment includes classic rock with Ribic’s Cub Aug. 13; dance and party hits with Don’t Call Me Francis Aug. 16; and pop and dance hits with the Star Band Aug. 20.
