COURT HOUSE — Get out your best pajamas and bring your kids in theirs too for a big Christmas party at the Performing Arts Center of Middle Township on Fri. night, Dec. 13, starting at 7:30 p.m.
The holiday movie “Polar Express” will be shown on the big screen and there may even be snow in the forecast for movie-goers! Additionally, a special shop is being set up for the youngsters to purchase Christmas presents for their families and friends. The only adults allowed in the room will be the salespersons.
But why the pajamas? In the movie starring Tom Hanks, some of the child actors are seen riding in their pajamas on a train.
“With the snow and the pajamas we wanted to give the event a sense of realism,” said Kay Aspell, managing director of The PAC. “They all seem to enjoy it and show up in interesting sleepwear, some of their mothers and fathers too.”
This will be the fourth year that the PAC will present its special family night which last year attracted 250 children and parents. The gift shop was so popular with the kids that it sold out of all its nominally priced merchandise.
There is no admission charge, but $6 contributions will be welcomed.
