SHAWCREST — American Idol hopefuls won’t want to miss Sunday afternoons on the deck at Lighthouse Pointe Restaurant and Bar this summer.
For the first time in restaurant history, Sun-days will spotlight “The Lighthouse Pointe Idol Contest beginning July 11.
Over the course of eight weeks, singers will compete for a $3,000, grand prize trip to South Padre Island at the end of the summer.
Contestants will perform with the live band Eleven Eleven during the second sets. After judging, winners will advance to the semi finals on the seventh week. The finals and grand prize giveaway will take place Aug. 29.
