COURT HOUSE – The Hit Men, featuring former stars of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons as well as other big acts of the ’60s, ‘70’s and ‘80s, will bring their national tour to Middle Township Dec. 7, at 7:30 as the Performing Arts Center opens a big month of holiday attractions.
Group members have also performed with Tommy James and the Shondells, the Critters, Jim Croce, Cat Stevens and Carly Simon at such prestigious venues as the Hollywood Bowl, Radio City Music Hall and Madison Square Garden. Recently at New York’s Town Hall, their performance drew rave reviews including one that called it an “epic show.”
In the spirit of the season and their name, The Hit Men are calling the show “Tis The Seasons” and the program will feature Christmas songs as well as some of their old time favorites such as “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown,” “Oh What A Night,” “Who Loves You,” “Marianne” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry.” Among the Yule selections will be “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,”, “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” and “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” The songs will be flavored with holiday percussion from chimes to sleigh bells.
This will mark their second appearance at The PAC, having appeared here last year as part of their first national run.
“The show is a chance for everyone to celebrate the season at The PAC with the first of a line-up of holiday attractions that extend right to Dec. 21,” said Kay Aspell, managing director. “The PAC has been beautifully decorated for the season with wreaths and Christmas trees by custodian Donald Hamer and we are really beginning to look a lot like Christmas.”
Tickets are $25 and may be reserved by calling 609-463-1924. The Performing Arts Center is situated at 212 Bayberry Drive, Cape May Court House, one mile east of Exit 10 of the Garden State Parkway. There is free parking on the premises.
