Greater Wildwood Chamber Annouces Line-up for Fabulous ’50s & Beyond Weekend

WILDWOOD – The Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce will present the Fabulous ’50s and Beyond Weekend in the Wildwoods on Fri., Oct. 12 and Sat., Oct. 13, 2012.
The two-day celebration of the Wildwoods’ role as the Birthplace of Rock ‘n Roll music will be filled with fun and entertainment for the entire family. The weekend’s festivities kick off Fri., Oct. 12, from 7-11 p.m., with the Fabulous ’50s & Beyond Dance Party in the Oceanfront Arena at the Wildwoods Convention Center. Hosted by “The Geator with the Heater” Jerry Blavat. This rockin’ dance party will feature dance hits that are sure to bring back fond memories from days gone by. Tickets for the Friday Night Dance Party are $13 per person.
The fun continues on Sat., Oct. 13, with the free Fabulous ’50s & Beyond Street Fair from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at Fox Park, located at Burk and Ocean Avenues. The Street Fair will feature free live entertainment all day long, food vendors, a classic car show, fun contests and much more!
The weekend really starts rockin Saturday night at 7 p.m. with the Fabulous ’50s & Beyond Concert in the Oceanfront Arena at the Wildwoods Convention Center starring Kenny Vance & The Planotones, The Orlons, The 5th Dimension featuring Florence LaRue and Paul Revere & The Raiders. Tickets for this once in a life time concert will go on sale Tue., May 1, 2012 and are $49.50 per person and $65.50 per person.
