Greater Ocean City Theatre Company Announces Auditions for 2012 Summer Season

OCEAN CITY – The Greater Ocean City Theatre Company (OCTC) will be holding auditions for their upcoming season on Sun., March 25 at the Ocean City Music Pier, Moorlyn Terrace Avenue and the Boardwalk between 8th and 9th streets. Casting will be for three Broadway style productions including Crazy For You, Cinderella and Hairspray. OCTC will also be casting adult actors for their 2011 Theatre-For-Young Audiences (TYA) season. TYA shows will be performed at the Ocean City Music Pier on Mondays, in West Chester, PA on Saturdays and will be part of Stockton’s Summer Series in Cape May, NJ on Wednesdays.
Auditions are by appointment only. Performers should prepare two contrasting 32 bar selections and be ready to dance if asked. A musical theatre movement and tap dance combination will be taught. If needed callbacks may be held after the dance calls. No kids or youth will be seen at this audition! Accompanist provided.
Those interested in casting should have daytime availability and professional/college theatre experience. On March 27 and 28, OCTC will head to the Big Apple for their open call in New York City. They expect to see over 500 musical theatre performers between the three auditions.
