CAPE MAY — Folksinger and songwriter Mary Roth will perform at Historic Cold Spring Village for the Christmas in July Arts/Crafts/Antique Fest July 13-14 and for the 9th Annual Celtic Weekend July 20-21.
Historic Cold spring village is a 22 acre 19th century living history museum with 25 restored historic buildings. Interpreters display their crafts and discuss life in the 1850s.
Mary Roth is a well-known performer in the Cape May region, where she lives. Performances have included The Philadelphia Folk Festival, Pennsylvania Renaissance Fair, New Jersey State Film Festival, Elain’s Dinner Theater, Cape May Singer/Songwriter Weekend, as well as numerous other shows/workshops expanding over several states. Her CD is available at Good Scents, a store in Cape May specializing in candles, incense and a variety of music and jewelry.
The CD cover was taken on the grounds of Historic Cold Spring Village by legendary photographer Bill Kadge. Mary performs with a dulcimer, bodhran drum, guitar shekere, etc.
She currently hosts a weekly radio show in Cape May titled “Artists with a Purpose.” Guests have included Emmy award nominee/Artistic Director of Cape May Stage Roy Steinberg Philly radio legend Michael Tearson.
