Finding Amelia at the Nature Center of Cape May

By Sponsored Content

CAPE MAY — Amelia Earhart and the circumstances of her 1937 disappearance will be the first topic of the Nature Center’s Spring Harborside Chats March 4 beginning at 6:00 p.m. This will be an encore presentation by Air Force celestial navigator, Mark Allen, which will focus on the methodology utilized by Fred Noonan (Amelia’s navigator) as he guided her Electra across the vast Pacific on that fateful night in July.
Together, we’ll look at ample circumstantial evidence from radio logs to artifacts and attempt to “connect the dots.” We’ll meet in the recently (a work in progress) renovated Charlotte Todd Education Building located right on the rim of Cape May Harbor at 6:00. Seating is limited, so come early. A donation to support the completion of this renovation is requested.
The Nature Center of Cape May (NCCM) is situated on the rim of Cape May Harbor at 1600 Delaware Avenue in Cape May. One of 7 centers operated by New Jersey Audubon, the Center provides family oriented programming in the marine sciences and other nature oriented themes. Programs are scheduled throughout the year; public visitation is available 7 days per week, April through Oct. Visit our campus, shop at the nature store and view the breathtaking harbor and its environment from the Trucksess Observation tower.
