The Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce presents the 10th Annual Fabulous ‘50s and Beyond Weekend Oct. 18 and Oct. 19 in the Wildwoods – a two-day celebration paying tribute to the 1950s and highlighting the Wildwoods’ role in the birth of Rock ‘n Roll music.

This band is guaranteed to get everyone moving and grooving to classic oldies. Admission is $15 per person.

Rave On!
Rave On! features the music of Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison, playing hits like “That’ll Be The Day”, “Peggy Sue”, “Pretty Woman”, and “Only the Lonely”, along with other classic and early rock and roll songs. Rave On! celebrates the music that paved the way for rock and roll and influenced The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and other countless artists. This band’s Fabulous ‘50s show promises to be a crowd pleaser.
The Johnny Cash Show
Swing and sway to some of Cash’s top hits such as “I Walk The Line”, “Folsom Prison Blues”, “Ring of Fire”, and “Ballad of the Teenage Queen” as this cover band rocks Fox Park.
Lights Out, a tribute to Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons
Lights Out, the popular Philadelphia based vocal group, has been embraced by a strong fan base that enjoys the many genres of music that Lights Out performs. In the group’s infancy, Chad, Daniel, Rob, and Chris have worked with such legends as Michael McCary from Boyz II Men, Barry Carl of Rockapella, and have performed with Martina McBride and Trisha Yearwood. Lights Out has developed a unique, thick sound that focuses on the harmonies of their original music while lyrically telling a story that everyone can identify with.

Lou Christie
Lou Christie is best known for his three-octave vocal range and pop hits “Lightnin’ Strikes”, “Two Faces Have I”, and “Juke Box Jive”. Highlights from Lou’s performing career include appearances on “Dick Clark’s Caravan Of Stars”, sharing 72 consecutive one-nighters with Diana Ross and the Supremes, and a command performance for Queen Elizabeth and the Royal Family. Lou has shared the stage with many of the greats of Rock ‘n’ Roll including The Rolling Stones, The Who, Neil Diamond, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Little Richard.
Danny & The Juniors featuring Joe Terry
This doo-wop crew hails from Philadelphia and is most widely recognized for their hit single “At the Hop”, which was released in 1957 and quickly became a monumental hit on five continents reaching #1 on the pop, country and rhythm and blues charts. It stands today as the #23 all-time biggest record according to The Billboard Magazine List Of #1 Hits. The group immediately followed with another hit, “Rock And Roll Is Here To Stay”, which became an anthem of the era.
Gary Lewis & The Playboys
With 8 Gold Singles, 17 Top 40 Hits, 4 Gold Albums, and 45 Million records sold worldwide, Gary Lewis and the Playboys are still one of the hottest acts around. In 1965 Gary himself was Cash Box magazine’s “Male Vocalist of the Year”, winning the honor over other nominees Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra. Russell Thompkins and The New Stylistics
For over 30 years, Russell Thompkins Jr. was the original lead singer of the Stylistics. His impeccable falsetto voice led the group to international fame and recognition, recording such hits as “You’re A Big Girl Now”, “Stop, Look, Listen”, “You Are Everything”, and “Rockin’ Roll Baby”.
Charlie Thomas’ Drifters
Lover Patterson once said that Charlie Thomas’ voice was one that the world would enjoy forever, and he was right! The new Drifters first release in 1959 was a song called “There Goes My Baby”. This was the beginning of what is generally acknowledged as the Golden Years of the Drifters. Other Drifters’ hits include “Under The Boardwalk” and “Up on the Roof”. In 1988, Charlie Thomas, along with other original members, Doc Green, Ben E. King and Elsbery Hobbs were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
