Events at the Avalon Free Public Library August 16 and 23

AVALON – Check out the upcoming events!
August 16 – The Avalon Free Public Library will host the Indian Dance group, Kulture Kool, on Tuesday, August 16 at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. The dancers will present a variety of Indian dances, including Bollywood, Indian classical, and Folk Dance. The performance is free and open to the public.
August 23 – The Avalon Free Public Library will host the David Easton Band on Tuesday, August 23 at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. This quintet will perform “Funk and Jazz infused rock music” in the vein of Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, and Billy Joel. The performance is free and open to the public.
The Avalon Library received 5 stars in Library Journal’s national rating of public libraries for the third time since 2009, based on statistical performance data collected by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
