WEST CAPE MAY – The West Cape May Environmental Commission presents Free Pizza and Family Movie Night from 6-8 p.m. March 13 at West Cape May Boro Hall, 732 Broadway, West Cape May. Two award winning live action wildlife films will be shown. Each film runs approximately 30 minutes.
The Riddle in a Bottle was filmed over the course of two years, from the Atlantic to the Pacific Oceans. It follows two siblings on a quest to solve a riddle they find in a floating bottle. They receive fun and informative help from many aquatic creatures around the world even a pirate!
The movie Lost in the Woods is a live action nature film combined with photography from the award winning children’s book by Carl R. Sams and Jean Stoick. Lost in the Woods has won 12 national and international awards including Best Children’s Wildlife Film World-Wide. A wise old box turtle tells the story of the woodland creatures’ concern over a newborn fawn they believe to be lost in the woods. As they learn about the fawn they also discover the magic of springtime in the woods. Children of all ages will enjoy this tale of trust, patience and waiting for your time.
“Both films are a great way to introduce the very young child to the wonders of nature. They are very entertaining and educational as well”, explains Hilary Pritchard of the West Cape May Environmental Commission. “They are sure to keep a young child’s attention with lively songs and humor.” These fun family movies are rated G.
