‘Elton’ Wows Wildwood Crest Crowd

WILDWOOD CREST- He looked like Elton John. He sounded like Elton John. But it was Bennie and the Jets, an Elton John tribute band performing a free concert in Centennial Park, Sat July 31.
A large crowd sang along. Lots of tots danced near the stage.
Elton was actually Greg Ransom. Bennie and the Jets tour the country and returned recently from entertaining the troops in Iraq.
The show lasted two hours and contained most of Elton John’s hits from “Crocodile Rock” to “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.”
‘Elton” was backed up by a tight three piece band. The audience called Bennie and the Jets back to the stage for an encore,
