WILDWOOD CREST – Fans of Elton John won’t want to miss this weekend’s performance at the Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series. Bennie and the Jets, an extremely popular Elton John tribute band, will take the stage at Centennial Park July 19 at 7:30 p.m.
Led by Greg Ransom – whose vocals, piano skills and stage mannerisms closely resemble those of Elton John – and supported by a talented group of musicians, Bennie and the Jets is one of the premier tribute bands on the entertainment circuit. The New England-based band regularly plays at festivals, nightclubs, corporate events and other venues all over the country. The Bennie and the Jets band has appeared in Wildwood Crest in each of the last four summers to glowing reviews, performing many of the hits of one of the most popular musicians in rock and roll history.
Saturday’s event is a free all-ages show. Attendees should bring a blanket or a chair.
Centennial Park is located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue.
The Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series, supported by the Wildwood Crest Tourism Development Commission, consists of live music every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Centennial Park through Aug. 30.
