WILDWOOD CREST — Fans of Elton John won’t want to miss the holiday weekend music performance at the Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series.
Bennie and the Jets, an extremely popular Elton John tribute band, will take the stage at Centennial Park on July 4 at 7:30 p.m.
Led by Greg Ransom – whose vocals, piano skills and stage mannerisms closely resemble those of Elton John – and supported by a talented group of musicians, Bennie and the Jets is one of the premier tribute bands on the entertainment circuit. The New England-based band regularly plays at festivals, nightclubs, corporate events and other venues all over the country. The Bennie and the Jets band has appeared in Wildwood Crest in each of the last five summers to glowing reviews, performing many of the hits of one of the most popular musicians in rock and roll history.
Saturday’s event is a free all-ages show. Attendees should bring a blanket or a chair.
Centennial Park is located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue.
The Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series, supported by the Wildwood Crest Tourism Development Commission, consists of live music every Wed. and Sat. at 7:30 p.m. at Centennial Park through Sept. 5 and every Mon. at Sunrise Park at Rambler Road from July 6 through Aug. 17.
Other upcoming entertainment includes pop hits by Shannon & Jeff on July 6; summer-themed rock, pop and country music by the Mango Men on July 8; a Bruce Springsteen tribute by the B Street Band on July 11; pop, dance and oldies hits by the Star Band on July 13; and a tribute to Heart by Kick It Out on July 15.

Wildwood Crest – Dual elected positions are not allowed in NJ. I am curious as to how Will Morey can be a county commissioner and on the Wildwood Crest school board.
