CAPE MAY – The not-for-profit Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company is pleased to announce two new members to its Board of Trustees: Jim Richards and Dawn Brautigam.
Jim Richards is the Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Cape May who has also served churches in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Illinois, and Indiana. Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, he graduated from Millersville University before earning a Master’s degree in Education from Shippensburg University and a Master of Divinity degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Before entering the ministry, he taught science, reading, health, and drama at a middle school outside of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He is married to Jackie Richards, who works at Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities. They have two daughters, one granddaughter, one grandson, and one granddaughter on the way.
Dawn Brautigam, originally from Philadelphia, but also raised in New Jersey and Delaware, holds a degree in Criminal Justice Administration. She worked in various departments at Harrah’s Atlantic City for over twenty years and currently works in the business office at Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities.
The Board also wishes to thank two members who are leaving the board: Patti Chambers, who served since 2002, and Joann Oxley, who joined the board in 2005.
Those interested in board membership or becoming a volunteer may contact the ELTC office by calling 609-884-5898 or by e-mailing to eastlynneco@aol.com. Just to get one show mounted requires the work of many behind the scene as well as on the stage. ELTC couldn’t do it without the help of its board members and volunteers, and these people behind the scene get to share the excitement of being in on the ground floor of what it takes to run a theater company.
