Gus Andy, owner of La Mer Beachfront Inn in Cape May, will be East Lynne Theater Company’s honoree on May 18 at the South Jersey Cultural Alliance’s (SJCA) 14th Annual Paul Aiken Encore Awards Dinner at Bally’s in Atlantic City.
East Lynne is a member of SJCA, and this event offers the opportunity for members to recognize those who graciously support arts organizations in eight South Jersey counties.
This year, 37 awards are expected to be bestowed, including the Alliance’s own 2009 Lillian Levy Standing Ovation Awards for AtlantiCare Foundation and Assemblyman Burzichelli.
For several years, Andy was a regular financial contributor to East Lynne Theater Company, but in 2004, he increased his donation to that of becoming a “Show Sponsor,” and in 2007, his donation increased again, to that of “Season Sponsor.”
Currently, ELTC has only three organizations in the “Season Sponsor” category (Curran Investment Management and Aleathea’s Restaurant at The Inn of Cape May being the other two), and ELTC greatly appreciates this unwavering financial consistency in this current economic climate.
Andy has also supplied housing for performers—something else that is vitally important to a theater company in a tourist community.
The Encore Awards Dinner will be held from 5:30-9:30 p.m. in The Grand Ballroom at Bally’s. Anyone may attend. Tickets are $75 if purchased before April 23, and $85 after this date.
To be seated at the Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company’s table, contact ELTC directly at 609-884-5898 or through the website at eastlynnetheater.org.
For more information about the event, and to purchase tickets through the Alliance, contact the South Jersey Cultural Alliance directly at 609-645-2760.
