By Press Release

CAPE MAY — Mark Edward Lang and Alison J. Murphy, who have performed extensively with East Lynne Theater Company, as well as with theaters in New York and across the country, return to the Avalon Free Public Library with their popular acting class “Scenes and Monologues.”
Many have enjoyed their classes on Shakespeare that they presented at the library for the past two years, and now Lang and Murphy are offering a look at modern scripts. The classes are free on Aug. 10 and 17, from 6:30-8:30p.m.
“Scenes and Monologues” is an introductory class for students (teens and older) and adults with an interest in acting and theater at all levels of experience. The instructors will select scenes and discuss the process of acting, including text analysis, researching the play, developing a character, and stage technique
The library is located at 235 32 Street and Ocean Drive in Avalon. Come dressed comfortably to move. Class size is limited, so reservations are requested. For more information or to register contact the library at 967-7155.
