COURT HOUSE – A program called “Get Hypnotized” will be offered as a benefit for the Middle Township High School after school music program and auxiliary on Saturday night, April 28, at 7 at the Performing Arts Center of Middle Township.
The program will be presented by an internationally recognized hypnotist whose show business name is Dr. Bengali and who has been giving hypnosis shows and seminars for 35 years, the last 15 at colleges in New Jersey and elsewhere in the nation.
Assisting him will be a cast of audience volunteers who after Bengali speaks briefly about the science of hypnosis will be placed in a trance to demonstrate his talk. Some hilarious scenes often result from the hypnosis during the two hour show.
The hypnotist, whose full name is Sandesh P. Nalk-Bengali, earned his doctorate in biomedical research at the King Edward Memorial Hospital and Medical College, the largest hospital in Southeast Asia, before obtaining a research fellowship from the National Institute of Heath in Bethesda, Md.
His interest in parapsychology and paranormal phenomenon developed during his doctoral research and it has since earned him high recognition in the world of hypnotism with performances having been presented in foreign lands as well as interviews on television and in radio.
The program is sponsored by the Panthers Parent Boosters Club which raises money to benefit the high school music program which includes the indoors performance ensemble and the indoor percussion and color guard in their various competitive events during the year. In addition, scholarships are provided to deserving seniors of the music program.
