Dolores Cheney Youth Arts Fair to Be Held May 4

CAPE MAY – The Center for Community Arts holds Dolores Cheney Youth Arts Fair May 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cape May City Elementary School, 921 Lafayette Street, Cape May. Art works will be displayed by Cape May County Students from the following schools and programs: Cape May Elementary School, Margaret Mace School, Middle Township Elementary, Cape Christian Academy and CCA’s YAP (Youth Art Program) in Wildwood, Lower Township and Cape May.
Fun art activities will be provided by the Center for Community Arts teaching Artists. Cape Christian Academy will present a puppet show, dance performances and piano solos.
The Youth Arts Fair and scholarships are named in honor of Dolores Cheney, a founding board member of the Center for Community Arts. Ms. Cheney nurtured many children during her lifetime and understood the importance of the arts in children’s lives. A representative from the Cheney family will be presenting the scholarships to the worthy recipients.
This event is presented as a public service by Cape May Elementary School and the Center for Community Arts. The cost of admission is $3 per person or $10 per family. Refreshments will be available. For more information, call CCA at 609-884-7525 or www.centerforcommunityarts.org.
