‘Do Art AC’ Boardwalk Art Show Returns September 6

ATLANTIC CITY – The Atlantic City Arts Commission and The Noyes Museum of Art of Richard Stockton College, invite all artists to participate in the return of the DoArtAC Boardwalk Art Show. The Boardwalk Art Show will be Saturday, September 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the famous Atlantic City Boardwalk. Last year’s Boardwalk Show had over 90 artists, four interactive artists and day full of musical and vocal artists who performed continuous sets on the Kennedy Plaza stage.
Following the success of last year, the Boardwalk Show is scheduled again this year to take place during high tourism weeks of the Miss America Pageant and Pro Volley Ball Tournament, when visitors from all over the country will be strolling the world-famous Atlantic City Boardwalk. The Boardwalk Show will offer unique opportunities for artists to show, sell and display their artwork. The event is free to the public and all proceeds from the show will be used for future art events in Atlantic City.
New this year, the Boardwalk Art Show is looking for artists to perform during the event. Can you interact and perform your art live during the show? The Boardwalk Art Show invites you to join us and submit your application. There is no fee for performing artists and you get a free space.
All artwork must be original and created by the artist registering for the show. Entry fee is $75 for a 12’x12’ space. Free parking will be available for exhibitors the day of the Boardwalk Show. Also, all exhibitors are invited to attend the Boardwalk Art Show Pre-Party, Friday, September 5 at the Noyes Art Garage.
Applications can be downloaded at www.noyesmuseum.org or www.atlanticcityart.org or www.doartac.com. Artists must submit a CD with five images of their work, one image of their display, a short bio, along with the application and entry fee- please have the check made out to: The Noyes Museum of Art

There will be $2,100 in prizes awarded, featuring a BEST IN SHOW award at $500. Judging will include four other categories this year: 1. Painting & Drawing (watercolor, pastel, oil, acrylic, charcoal, pen & ink, graphite) 2. Photography, Printmaking, Monotype, 3. Sculpture, 3D Art & Mixed Media 4. Fine Crafts (pottery, jewelry, glass & fiber).
The deadline for applications is July 15, 2014. The AC Arts Commission and The Noyes Museum of Art will be reviewing all applications and acceptance notifications will be sent out no later than August 7, 2014.
