Cumberland County Artist Ellen Gavin at OC Arts Center in March

OCEAN CITY — Millville artist Ellen Gavin brings her award-winning oil paintings to the Ocean City Arts Center March 1 to March 31. A “Meet the Artist” reception will be held on Saturday, March 15, from noon to 2 pm. It is free and open to the public.
Ms. Gavin, a native of Philadelphia, graduated from Temple’s Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, Pa. She is a former Vice President of Creative for L’Oreal in New York. She currently resides in at Green Boots Studio, Millville, New Jersey.
Ms. Gavin is a Signature Member of the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters. She is a grand prize winner at the Mt. Lebanon Plein Air 2012 in Pittsburgh, Pa. and is listed in Who’s Who in American Art. Ms. Gavin also has participated in Rittenhouse Square Art Shows in Philadelphia, Pa., and in the Ocean City Arts Center’s Juried and Themed Art Shows.
Ocean City Arts Center Executive Director Rosalyn Lifshin said, “Ms. Gavin has exhibited in several shows at the Arts Center including the “I Remember Wanamaker’s” themed event in which her painting attracted multiple buyers. Her paintings draw audiences into the scene.”
Ms. Gavin’s paintings will be for sale during the March exhibit. The Center is open 9 am to 9 pm, Monday through Friday, and 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday.
