CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County Culture and Heritage Commission will host its Tenth Annual Exhibit and Contest of The National Arts Program® (NAP) at the Middle Township Performing Arts Center (PAC) Gallery from April 6 to May 3, 2011. The PAC is located at One Penkethman Way in Cape May Court House, New Jersey.
The opening awards ceremony and reception will be held on Wednesday, April 6th from 7 to 9 p.m. at the PAC. The exhibit will consist of “wire hung” wall-mounted work in the following categories: painting; works on paper; photography; sculpture; and craft. Music will be provided by local guitarist, Jim Maher and refreshments will be served by Chef John Webersinn, owner of “Time to Dine” in Cape May Court House.
Sixty-eight local artists have participated in this year’s exhibit featuring 118 pieces of art. The free art competition was open to all local, county, state and federal government employees and their immediate families who reside or work in Cape May County as well as Members of the County’s non-profit Culture and Heritage Round Table groups and their immediate families.
The County’s Culture and Heritage Commission oversees the Division’s work which is funded by the County Library Commission. Freeholder M. Susan Sheppard is the liaison to the Culture and Heritage Commission.
