COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County Department of Aging and Disability Services will host the annual Senior Jamboree May 2. This event is held each year in May in honor of Older American’s Month. The festivities will take place at the Avalon Community Center located at 30th & the Beach in Avalon, New Jersey.
“Come horse around with us! The theme is “Kentucky Derby” so feel free to wear your favorite fancy hat. Also, wear your dancing shoes since there will be live entertainment and dancing. Additionally, a free lunch will be served by staff of the Department of Aging and Cape May County high school students. Plus awards will be given to the “Senior of the Year” – female and male and to the “Organization of the Year”.
The free event is open to all Cape May County senior residents, age 60 or over. The doors will open promptly at 10 a.m. So wear you hat and join us for a fun day!
