County’s National Arts Program Exhibit Open

COURT HOUSE – Freeholder Vice-Director M. Susan Sheppard announced that Cape May County’s National Arts Program Exhibit opened with an award ceremony and reception April 17 at the Middle Township Performing Arts Center.
The more than 120 works of art will remain on display through May 10. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
The National Arts Program is designed to give individuals a forum to showcase and develop their talents. The broad aim of the Program is to increase self-confidence by encouraging the creative talents of the participants and give them an opportunity to have their work displayed in a professional art gallery setting.
The NAP funded Program is a juried art show and works through employees and their families of municipalities, counties and commercial organizations as well as all students and employees of the Cape May County School district and Cape Regional Hospital. All artwork entered under the Program’s Rules of Exhibit are displayed in Five classifications; Amateur, Intermediate, Professional, Youth 12 years and under and Teen 13-18 years. This allows all interested participants to enter at their own skill level.
