County Library Offers Pottery Class for Kids
The Cape May County Library invites kids ages 4 through 12 to a class, Paint Your Own Pottery given by Jennifer Boyce from Glazed Over Studio at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 3rd. The class will take place at the Main Library, 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.

County Library Hosts New York Times Best-Selling Author Lisa Scottoline
The Cape May County Library invites the public to attend “Cape May County Library Speaker Series: Justice & Fiction” with New York Times best-selling author Lisa Scottoline at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 3rd. The lecture will take place at the Sea Isle City Library, 4800 Central Avenue, Sea Isle City.
Scottoline will discuss views and themes of justice in fiction. She has developed a similar lecture for her college course that she teaches at her alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Following the lecture, there will be a question and answer session and book signing. Her latest book, Don’t Go, will be available at no cost. Patrons can bring up to two books for signing.

County Library Offers Yoga for Kids and Teens
The Cape May County Library invites kids and teens ages 7 to 18 to a series of introductory yoga classes presented on Mondays, June 3rd and 10th at 3:45 p.m. The programs will take place at the Main Library, 30 W. Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House.
Kids and teens ages 7 to 18 are invited to join us for an exploration of the practice of yoga. The focus of the class will be learning basic postures, breathing techniques, learning the art of movement and the art of being still. If you are interested in attending, please bring either a yoga mat or a large towel and wear loose fitted clothing that allows for movement.

County Library Offers Healthy Lifestyle Class
The Cape May County Library invites the public to the class, “Healthy Lifestyles Makeover: Eat Well, Move More, Look & Feel Great” given by Janis Washington White at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4th. The class will take place at the Main Library, 30 W. Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House.
Have you decided ‘it is time to get healthy,’ but you are not quite certain how to go about it? With bathing suit season approaching, learn four strategies for changing eating and physical activity behaviors to help you reach your goals.
Washington White is a certified health and lifestyles coach. Coach Washington White received her Life Coach certification from the Coach Training Alliance (CTA) and Health Coach training through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN).

County Library Offers Clay Workshop
The Cape May County Library invites the public to attend the workshop, “Hand Building with Clay” given by Jennifer Boyce. This four-week workshop starts at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5th. The workshop will take place at the Sea Isle City Library, 4800 Central Avenue, Sea Isle City.
Students will explore various hand-building techniques while creating their own pieces such as tiles, wall pockets and sconces, bowls, dishes and other eclectic sculptures.

County Library Offers Mosaic Workshop
The Cape May County Library invites the public to attend the workshop, “Create a Mosaic Garden Brick” given by Michele Pasciullo. This two-day workshop will be held on Friday, June 7th and 14th at 1 p.m. at the Sea Isle City Library, 4800 Central Avenue.
Create a beautiful and durable addition to your spring garden. Using the direct method of mosaic, you will transform an ordinary paver into a work of art with mini ceramic tiles, stained glass, mirror and glass marbles.

The Cape May County Library invites the public to attend the class, “iPhones for Beginners” given by the Technology Learning Center at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 8. The class will take place at the Main Library, 30 W. Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House.
This class is designed to illustrate the basic functionality of the iPhone, as well as, demonstrate tips, tricks and shortcuts that will benefit the novice to the expert. No registration required. County Library Offers Teeny Weeny Storytime
The Cape May County Library invites children, ages birth to three years old and their caregivers to Little Diggers Teeny Weeny Storytime in June and July. The programs will take place at the Main Library and the Lower Cape Library.
Come sing, dance and read stories at the library this summer! Teeny Weeny Storytime is great for developing your child’s language and social skills. Storytime topics will compliment the library’s summer, “Dig Into Reading” theme. Be sure to dress for mess! Some sessions may include optional arts and crafts projects.
The Storytimes will be held on the following days and times:

The Cape May County Library invites the public to attend the class, “My Second Computer Class” given by the Technology Learning Center at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 17. The class will take place at the Main Library, 30 W. Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House. In this class, you will learn about hardware and software and how they work together.

County Library Hosts Hummingbird Gardening Lecture
The Cape May County Library invites the public to the lecture, “Hummingbird and Pollinator Gardens” given by Joe Alvarez at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 17th. The lecture will take place at the Main Library, 30 W. Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House.
Vital to a healthy ecosystem and sustainable agriculture, native pollinators are often taken for granted. Their recent decline has sparked a revival in interest of their role in human affairs. Many resources are now available to help with the plight of the native pollinator; however, confusion can be your worst enemy. Along with native host plants, you will need to provide nesting sites, food and water sources and several other materials on the list.

County Library Hosts Poetry Reading Series
The Cape May County Library invites the public to attend the program, “Beach Bards Present: Poetry and Prose” on Monday June 17th from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The program will take place at the Sea Isle City Library, 4800 Central Avenue, Sea Isle City.
The Beach Bards Poetry Reading Series will present a poetry program on the third Monday of each month, from June through October. This month Kathleen Graber and Laura McCullough will be reading from their original works. Also, artists sign copies of their books when available. Registration is not required for this Series. County Library to Hold Registration for Summer Reading Club
The Cape May County Library invites children up to 12 years old and their caregivers to attend Summer Reading Club Registration Celebrations in June.
Get ready to “Dig into Reading!” and register for the Summer Reading Club! The Summer Reading Club is open to kids up to 12 years old. We’ll decorate a banner for the library and when you register, you’ll be entered into a drawing for a Summer Reading T-shirt. If you can’t make it to registration, you’ll be able to register online, at any library programs, or by calling us at 463-6354.

The Cape May County Library invites the public to come for a walk on the beach. “Beachcombing the Crest of Wildwood” given by Sue Slotterback will be held every Monday at 6 p.m. beginning June 24th. The event will take place at the Wildwood Crest Library, 6301 Ocean Avenue, Wildwood Crest.
Join Slotterback for a shoreline stroll on Monday evenings. You will pull a net, sieve the sand and search for the tide’s treasures. We’ll chat about living life on the edge of the ocean and wonder about the secrets of the sea. This program is open for all ages and don’t forget to bring your own bucket!

County Library Hosts Sciencetelling Programs for Children
The Cape May County Library invites children, ages 5 to 12, and their families to attend “The Bugs of Blackwood” program presented by Sciencetellers at all branches in June. Join us as we learn about the science of matter by telling the tale of The Bugs of Blackwood. By using experiments with fire, gas, air pressure, water, chemicals and much more; see if Benjamin’s friends can save him before all hope is squashed!

The Cape May County Library invites the public to a demonstration, “Cape Cuisine: Bakes Bread” given by Chef Mark Kalla at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25th. The demonstration will take place at the Main Library, 30 W. Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House. Chef Kalla will demonstrate techniques and share special components of bread making. Learn to work with yeast breads confidently. Chef Kalla will demonstrate the diversity of breads created by using two basic doughs.

The Cape May County Library invites teens 12 to 18 to the workshop, “Teens Get Crafty: Moldable Chocolate Sculptures” at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25th. The workshop will take place at the Lower Cape Library, 2600 Bayshore Road, Villas.
Teens are invited to unleash their creativity by making sculptures out of moldable chocolate. You can even eat your creations when you’re done. Registration is not required for this workshop. The workshops will be held at 11 a.m. on the following days: June 29th, July 6th, July 13th, July 27th and August 3rd. The workshops will take place at the Main Library, 30 W. Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House. If you enjoy creative writing, join local author Keri Mikulski for a special series of writing workshops.
