WILDWOOD – Movie fanatics and animal lovers take note: the Wildwoods welcome one of Hollywood’s cutest & funniest animal stars – Crystal the Monkey – during a special appearance called “Going Bananas with Crystal”, taking place inside the Wildwoods Convention Center’s Starlight Ballroom, Sun., Sept. 4.
During “Going Bananas with Crystal”, sponsored by PM Events LLC, Crystal the Monkey will put on a series of shows during which she’ll perform many of her well known routines. Show times are scheduled for 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Advance tickets for “Going Bananas with Crystal” are currently available for $10 per person at Ticketmater.com, at all Ticketmaster Outlets or by calling toll free at 800-745-3000. Tickets for each show will also be available for purchase at the Wildwoods Convention Center box office on the day of the event for $12 per person. Audience members will also have the opportunity to get their picture taken with Crystal following the show for an additional fee.
Movie goers of all ages will undoubtedly recognize Crystal as “Donald” the crafty, talking monkey, voiced by Adam Sandler, who sets up the nightly animal meetings in the hit comedy, “Zookeeper”. Others will recall her role as the drug-dealing, chain-smoking, menace in the hit comedy sequel “The Hangover: Part II”. In reality though, she is known as Crystal the Monkey, one of Hollywood’s hottest animal actors – having appeared in over 20 films since launching her career in 1997. When not making movies, Crystal, a female capuchin monkey and animal actor owned by Birds & Animals Unlimited, Inc., resides in Los Angeles, CA with her handler and trainer, Tom Gunderson.
