Congress Hall Festival Choir Entertains SRO Crowd

By Jack Fichter

CAPE MAY- The Congress Hall Festival Choir presented its fifth annual Christmas performance followed by a tree lighting ceremony of a 30-foot tall Douglas fir on the lawn of the historic hotel.
A standing room only crowd listened to popular Christmas songs and carols led by director Myra Vassian. The choir featured local residents, Cape Resorts employees and professional singers with Diego Tornelli on piano.
Free cookies fed a crowd gathered on the lawn to watch the tree lighting. The tree was donated by North Cape May residents Larry and Annette Borgia.
