RIO GRANDE — Cole Bros. Circus is coming to Rio Grande Aug. 16, 17 and to Seaville, Aug. 18 and 19.
When circus producers John and Brigitte Pugh asked 2009 audiences what they find most enjoyable at Cole Bros. Circus, patrons overwhelmingly replied,
“Animals, thrill acts and The 2010 Edition of Cole Bros. Circus of the Stars comprises more crowd-pleasing acts than ever. For animal lovers, the show features Asian elephants, and Jason and Je Walker’s Royal Bengal tigers, camels, zebras, llamas, ponies and dogs.
Daredevil performers include Guatemala’s Angels of the Air, fearless, flying trapeze artists who vault high overhead to astonish audiences with their spine-tingling routines.
High and low comedy, compliments of the Bermudez Troupe, weaves throughout the performance, provoking laughter with clown escapades on a revolving ladder and in a taxi that foils newly wedded Mr. and Mrs. Clown’s honeymoon by dismantling itself in center ring.
Equilibristic marvel Lana, from Kazakhstan, achieves a seemingly impossible one-finger stand in a turn that literally balances strength and grace.
Cole Bros. Circus of the Stars concludes with exhilarating action: Topsy-turvy ATVs, intrepid motorcycle riders who brave the splitting Globe of Death, and The Human Cannonball who flies across the Big Top at a speed of 65 miles per hour.
In addition to providing outstanding, family entertainment, Cole Bros. Circus of the Stars remains amazingly affordable, with free tickets for children under 13 available at www.FreeKids Tickets.com, and adult general admission priced at $12 for tickets purchased in advance or $17 at the gate.
