City of Cape May Offers Free Holiday Concert

By Press Release

CAPE MAY – Enjoy great music and help make someone’s holidays happier at the Package Goods Orchestra holiday concert. An “easily distracted band,” Package Goods Orchestra (PGO) brings its message of peace, love, and music to Cape May Convention Hall on Sat., Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m.
Long-time Ocean City residents Bette Kaminsky and Bill Johnson, along with Barbara Fiedler, Steve Fiedler and Steve Friedland of Galloway Township, make up this one-of-a-kind musical group. PGO’s arrangements and harmonies put a new shine on timeless music, incorporating a wide variety of sounds from acoustic guitar to electric ukulele, from a cocktail snare to a full-bodied djembe. A host of bells, whistles and other unique percussion instruments add a twist of whimsy and make for a fun and festive evening. Concertgoers will be treated to desserts and beverages, compliments of the season and courtesy of the City of Cape May.
Admission to the holiday celebration is free. Guests are encouraged to bring one unwrapped gift which will benefit the Sgt. Bill Alvarez Memorial Toy Drive.
