CAPE MAY — The 2nd Exit 0 Jazz Fest, in conjunction with the Center for Community Arts and WCFA-LP, present free Family Workshops on Nov. 9, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Decatur and Hughes Streets, Cape May, NJ. Sponsored by the Center for Community Arts and Motema Music, renowned jazz drummer, musician and educator, Jaimeo Brown will conduct a drum workshop where rhythms, call and response, drum techniques and leadership will be explored. At 11 a.m., lunch will be provided at the Church preceding a free concert at 12:30 with the Kenny Garrett Quintet at the Cape May Convention Hall. With cars parked in the lot adjacent to the Church, we will be taking a short walk up Beach Avenue to Convention Hall where Kenny Garrett will spend time talking to the audience prior to his performance.
These events are free and open to the public. Come out and join the fun. For more information, call the Center for Community Arts office at 609-884-7525.
