CAPE MAY — The City of Cape May will stage its annual Independence Parade July 5 beginning at 1 p.m. with line up at noon. The parade route is Beach Avenue from Philadelphia Avenue to Patterson Avenue with the reviewing stand near Convention Hall.
Captain Todd Prestidge, Commanding Officer of the U.S.C.G. Training Center, Cape May will serve as Grand Marshall and his entourage will include the U.S. Coast Guard Color Guard.
Other entries highlighting the procession are Mayor Dr. Edward J. Mahaney, Jr. and City Council, VFW Post 386, American Legion Post 193, local Cub Scout and Boy Scout packs, Cape May County String Band, Congress Street Brass Band, Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts and Dr. Emlen Physick and Colonial Musketeers Band, The Greater Kennsington String Band and The Fralinger String Band.
