Cape May–Lewes Ferry Is the Place to Be Every Friday Evening This Summer

CAPE MAY — Boatloads of great live music! Get ready to “Rock the Boat!” this summer aboard the Cape May – Lewes Ferry! Put your dancing shoes on and rock on as the ferry takes the party off dry land with their “Rock the Boat!” cruises this summer. The ferry’s “Rock the Boat!” cruises take place every Friday through Aug. 23, 2013.
“We are very excited to be able to offer our special “Rock the Boat” cruises again this summer”, says Charisse Rudolph, customer service manager for the Cape May – Lewes Ferry. “Summer is the time to let loose, try new things, and have fun. What better way to get your groove on than on a beautiful cruise along the Delaware Bay, where you dance the night away with family and friends.”
Aboard the 6 p.m. departure from the Cape May Terminal, New Jersey foot passengers will be accompanied by the fresh sounds of Animal House, Just Press Play, Special Occasion, or Jumper. The cruise returns to the Cape May terminal docks at approximately 9 p.m.
Just Press Play is the newest and hottest cover band in the Philadelphia music scene. Animal House is from the South Jersey area, covering all genres, they are always a crowd pleaser. Jumper was the winner of VH1’s Cover Wars, playing everything from Sinatra to Lady GaGa. And Special Occasion is a band from the South Jersey area that specializes in 70’s R&B, Smooth Jazz and Funk.
For Delaware foot passengers, the ferry will depart from the Lewes Terminal at 4:15 p.m. with the great music of GLASS ONION for you to enjoy. The cruise will return to the Lewes terminal dock at approximately 9:15 p.m. Glass Onion, Delaware’s premier rock and roll party band, plays rock and roll dance music at places throughout Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland.
The cost is $19.00 for ages 14 and older, $10.00 for ages 6 to 13 and includes a FREE beverage! (children under the age of 5 are free). So grab your guy or gal and get ready to rock the night away on one of the most popular cruises the Cape May – Lewes Ferry has to offer!
