CAPE MAY — Let the award-winning Cape May Waves Swim Team bring out the potential in your young swimmer. Designed for ages 6 through 18, from beginner through advanced skill levels, the team encourages participants to develop into the best swimmers they can be by focusing on individual needs. The experienced training staff promotes a commitment to support and teamwork that will last a lifetime.
The fee is $360 per child or just $60 for a high-school swim team member to practice with the Waves as part of the high school pre-season. Swimmers should have one or two good sets of goggles, one or two swim caps, and fins for training. Team swimsuits will be available for purchase at a discounted price.
The first practice takes place at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, at the US Coast Guard Base Pool, 1 Munro Avenue, Cape May. Swimmer evaluation is scheduled for 6:15 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8 at the Crest Haven Special Services pool at 148 Crest Haven Drive, Cape May Court House. Please note that in order to join the team, participants must be able to swim at least 25 yards.
