CAPE MAY – Storytelling is one of mankind’s oldest art forms, before man had the capacity to write his words down he would speak them. Come down to Cape May Stage for an afternoon full of the ancient tradition of storytelling with Roy Steinberg in “Roy’s Story,” an in-depth look at Roy’s careers and experiences.
“Roy’s Story” covers the wide-array of Roy’s career from his time spent in Los Angeles as a director and producer for a variety of soap operas, to his time spent teaching, to his numerous experiences acting and directing at a number of theatres, up to his current experience as the Producing Artistic Director of Cape May Stage. Roy will respond to questions posed by Directing Resident, Ben Ferber in the style of James Lipton’s “Inside the Actor’s Studio”, providing various insights into the worlds of theatre and entertainment.
Immediately following “Roy’s Story” will be a free reception in the lobby of the Robert Shackleton Playhouse with sparkling cider, where you’ll get the chance to meet Roy and ask any unanswered questions that linger in your mind. “Roy’s Story” and free reception are part of Cape May Stage’s “25 Free Things,” an initiative to thank the community for 25 years of wonderful support.
