Cape May Stage Presents ‘Moon Over Buffalo’

By Sponsored Content

CAPE MAY – Cape May Stage presents the rip-roaringly hilarious farce, Moon Over Buffalo! Known for the outrageously funny hijinks of Lend Me A Tenor, playwright Ken Ludwig does it again with Moon Over Buffalo – called “wildly funny” by ABC News and “one of the most hysterical things put onstage” by The New York Post.
Married actors George and Charlotte Hay are performing at a repertory theatre in Buffalo when the chance of a lifetime strikes! Hollywood director Frank Capra calls to say he will attend a performance to see if the Hayes would be right for the lead roles in his upcoming film. But through a series of hilariously unfortunate events, George winds up drunk onstage and performing the wrong show. Mistaken identities, zany antics and high stakes slapstick ensue as everything that can go wrong does in a series of events that will render the audience breathless from laughter.
The hilarity of Moon Over Buffalo is brought to life by a talentedly funny cast. Cyrus Newitt (Heroes, Passchendaele) makes his main stage debut after years of collaboration with Producing Artistic Director Roy Steinberg. He is joined by Marianne Tatum (Wolf of Wall Street, The Three Musketeers), Suzan Perry (Deathtrap, Miracle on South Division Street), Ginna Hoben (Next Fall, The 39 Steps), Joseph Robinson (Titanic: The Musical, Lend Me A Tenor), B. Brian Argotsinger (Lend Me A Tenor, The Dangers of Electric Lighting), Bill Tatum (The Winters Tale, The Chosen Wife), and former Cape May Stage acting intern Veronique Hurley (The Straight Marriage Plays, Hunting and Gathering).
A fantastic production team joins the cast including Producing Artistic Director Roy Steinberg (The Santaland Diaries, Freud’s Last Session) as director, Scenic Designer Shawn Fisher, Lighting Designer Cyrus Newitt, Costume Designer Michele Sinacore and Production Stage Manager Casey Oakes.
