Cape May Stage Offers Messages from Men: Machismo, Mayhem, Mirth & Maturity

CAPE MAY — Cape May Stage will present Chase Arts’ production of Messages from Men: Machismo, Mayhem, Mirth & Maturity, Sat., April 27 at 8 p.m. and Sun., April 28 at 3 p.m. at Cape May Stage’s Robert Shackleton Playhouse, Lafayette & Bank streets.
The production is an all-male performance piece that challenges and enlightens the audience on what’s in the hearts and souls of African American men. Developed and directed by Chase Jackson, this play was written by and will be acted by a group of 10 males, between the ages 13 and 50:
Comprised of original poetry, spoken word, music, monologues, and dance, the piece addresses social issues, cultural character types, and is a commentary on today’s African American males. Chase Arts’ past productions have been thought-provoking and engaging and Messages is no less so.
