CAPE MAY – The stocking are hung at Cape May Stage with care.
Celebrate the holidays with Cape May Stage’s First Annual Holiday Stocking Raffle. From now until Dec. 29, sixteen beautiful stockings will be on display at either the Robert Shackleton Playhouse, where Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol is playing, or at Congress Hall, with performances of The Santaland Diaries.
Local businesses embodied the generous spirit of the holiday season through donations of goods and services to the Stocking Raffle. Each contribution highlights the unique offerings and spirit of donor businesses. Remember the heat and fun of summer with t-shirts, visors, and the staple of Cool Cape May from Exit Zero. Different stockings donated by Congress Hall individually embody the warmth and welcoming of The Blue Pig Tavern and the hotel’s elegance. Fine imports come from Café Tuscany and elegant home goods from White by Viviane Rowan Design. Other stocking donations come from the Washington Inn, Billmae Cottage, and Ambiance Salon in Wildwood, and a number of fine local restaurants donated gift certificates to create a luxurious Cape May dining stocking.
“Without these donations, this stocking raffle could never have happened,” says Cape May Stage Marketing Director, Alicia Grasso. “To see how generous everyone has been is a wonderful reminder of the true meaning of this time of year.” The staff and Board of Cape May Stage got into the spirit of giving as well, purchasing gift cards to go along with stockings featuring the theatre’s merchandise and compiling two spa stockings for those in need of a little pampering.
The proceeds from the Holiday Stocking Raffle will benefit Cape May Stage’s Resident Intern Program. “This is a great way to support this fantastic program while celebrating the holidays,” says Grasso. “So take a chance and good luck!”
Raffle tickets are available at performances of Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol and The Santaland Diaries for $2 each, 3 for $5 or 6 for $10 with the ability to take a chance on all stockings at both locations. Winners will be drawn Dec. 29.
