CAPE MAY — Looking for a ghoulish good time? Climb aboard the Cape May-Lewes Ferry for an afternoon of fun and fright! On Oct. 27, the ferry is hosting its first ever Halloween Boo Cruise. Complete with trick-or-treating, ghost stories, and costume contest, this three hour round trip Boo Cruise is packed with all the Halloween favorites.
Dress up in your favorite costume and trick-or-treat on the vessel. Enjoy delicious Halloween treats in the salon as you are entertained by Captain Long John’s pirate stories or Delmarva Historic Haunts storyteller’s tales of ghosts and ghouls.
Don’t forget to enter the Boo Cruise costume contest for a chance to win great Cape May – Lewes Ferry gift shop prizes. Winners will be selected in the following categories: best costume, scariest costume and most original costume. Please register for the costume contest at the ticket counter before boarding the vessel. Food will be available for purchase during the crossing and a cash bar will be available in the lounge.
“The Halloween Boo Cruise puts a unique spin on the classic Halloween tradition,” said Joe Peltz, superintendent of food and retail at the Ferry. “We can’t wait to see the different types of costumes. It provides a new and exciting way to enjoy Halloween that is fun for the whole family.”
New Jersey foot passengers will depart from the Cape May Terminal at 11:00 a.m. and return at approximately 2:30 p.m. while Delaware foot passengers will depart from the Lewes Terminal at 12:45 p.m. and return at approximately 4:15 p.m.
Round-trip foot passage tickets cost $18.00 for guests 14 years of age and older; $9.00 for those between the ages of 6-13, and free for children ages 5 and under.
