Cape May Carriage House Book Signing Event March 16

By Sponsored Content

CAPE MAY – Author and educator Steve Leadley will be greeting members of the public and signing copies of his book, Sherlock Holmes in Cape May, at the Carriage House Gallery Shop at the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St., on March 16, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
In Sherlock Holmes in Cape May, Holmes is in Washington on a discreet mission for the British government when he receives a telegram from Dr. Emlen Physick, Cape May’s most prominent Victorian citizen, who urges him to journey to the seaside resort to help unravel a mystery. Readers accompany the most famous literary character of the Victorian age as he brings his investigative skills to the problem at hand amid the charming ambience of the nation’s oldest seaside resort.
Leadley, who lives in Cape May Court House, N.J., has been teaching American history at Lower Cape May Regional High School in Lower Township for over 18 years. He is also the author of Pirate Treasure of Cape May and Sherlock Holmes and the Circle of Blood, published by Black Coat Press in 2009, a trilogy of Leadley’s Sherlock Holmes mysteries.
Sherlock Holmes in Cape May is available for purchase at the Carriage House Gallery Shop.
This book signing event coincides with Sherlock Holmes Weekend, March 15-17, when amateur sleuths search for clues alongside the great detective in Victorian Cape May working to solve the new mystery for 2013, “Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Anima Orbis.” Saturday afternoon’s Search for Clues tour is available for purchase separately.
